This Senior Data Engineer role focuses on designing, building, and maintaining robust, scalable, and highly secure cloud-based data ecosystems, specifically within the regulated domain of medical devices. The professional will be responsible for implementing automated data ingestion, validation, lineage tracking, and quality monitoring pipelines, while ensuring strict compliance with global regulatory frameworks including GDPR, HIPAA, and NIS2. Key responsibilities also include operationalizing and maintaining AI/ML pipelines, managing security features like RBAC and encryption (HSM/KMS), and supporting visualization workflows using tools like Tableau and Looker. The ideal candidate must possess 5+ years of experience in building compliant cloud data systems, strong programming skills in Python and SQL, and advanced experience with orchestration tools (Airflow) and infrastructure automation (Terraform, Kubernetes). Required Skills
Education
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, AI, Cybersecurity, or similar.
Experience
- 5+ years in building secure, compliant cloud-based data ecosystems for regulated data domains
- Professional experience building secure cloud-based data systems using AWS, Azure, or GCP
- Advanced experience with Orchestration (Airflow, Dagster, or Prefect)
- Advanced experience with Data frameworks (Spark, dbt, Kafka)
- Advanced experience with Infrastructure automation (Terraform, Kubernetes, Helm)
- Professional experience managing encryption standards and secure authentication
- Professional experience translating compliance frameworks into technical implementation
- Professional experience in regulated industries (MedTech, pharma)
