Job Summary

This role involves the independent operation and technical support of ion accelerators and ion implanters within the Institute for Ion Beam Physics and Materials Research at the Helmholtz-Zentrum Dresden-Rossendorf (HZDR). The successful candidate will be responsible for the daily operation, documentation, and logging of plant operations, and will actively participate in the maintenance and modernization of the facilities and experimental technology. Key requirements include a completed technical education (e.g., as an electrical engineer, plant/system technician, mechatronics engineer, or mechanic with electrical training) and relevant professional experience with complex technical systems. Strong communication and teamwork skills are essential, along with a willingness to work in a 3-shift system and pursue further qualification as an electrostatic ion accelerator operator.
