Job Summary
This leadership role involves the technical and disciplinary management of the Automation department, encompassing Electrical Design, PLC Programming & AI Robotics, Virtual Commissioning & Robotics, and SCADA/Industrial Controls. The Head of Automation will collaborate with team leaders to advance the department's technology and process strategy, actively shaping the future of industrial automation. Responsibilities include modernizing existing systems, developing new digital and AI-based automation solutions, and bridging classic control technology with artificial intelligence and networked production systems. The manager will also be responsible for developing and implementing Smart Factory strategies, achieving revenue and profit targets, and overseeing the planning and economic execution of national and international automation projects, ensuring innovative and future-proof solutions for diverse industrial clients.
Required Skills
Education
Completed degree in Electrical Engineering, Automation Technology, Mechatronics, or comparable qualification
Experience
- Several years of professional experience in industrial automation
- In-depth understanding of various technology disciplines in automation
- Experience in technical and disciplinary leadership of teams and project teams (leading leaders)
- Experience in building and integrating international resources
- Fundamental knowledge of machine safety regulations, standards, and guidelines
