Job Summary
This role is a part-time position (24 to 30 hours per week), initially limited to one year, supporting the Institute of Pathology at Ruhr University Bochum, which is integrated into the Bergmannsheil University Hospital. The successful candidate will be responsible for essential laboratory procedures, including the preparation of microscopic and cytological specimens. Key tasks involve manufacturing paraffin and frozen sections using modern equipment, operating automated staining machines, and assisting with rapid section and macroscopic cutting processes. The position requires a successfully completed qualification as a Biological Technical Assistant (BTA) or Medical Assistant (MFA), along with a meticulous and focused approach to work. A unique aspect of this role is the working schedule, which primarily involves shifts during the evening hours after an initial daytime training period, offering attractive compensation and benefits.
