Job Summary

This role involves managing the critical IT infrastructure, specifically the server, network, and technical rooms, which are the core of the university's data center services supporting research and teaching. The IT System Manager will be responsible for the planning, operation, and documentation of these specialized electrical and IT environments, ensuring continuous monitoring of IT components, cooling, and power supply. Key responsibilities also include leading new construction, conversion, and expansion projects within the IT context, managing external contractors, and guaranteeing internal housing services. The ideal candidate holds a Master's degree (or equivalent) in Electrical Engineering, Automation Technology, Building Services Engineering (TGA), or a related field, and brings experience in operating server/network rooms and managing complex infrastructure projects, ideally within a university setting. This is a full-time, permanent position offering mobile work options and a supportive, family-friendly university environment.

Required Skills

Education

Master’s degree or equivalent in Electrical Engineering, Automation Technology, Building Services Engineering (TGA), Engineering Sciences, or a closely related field.

Experience
