This role is pivotal in shaping the technological future of a mid-sized German company specializing in electromechanical components and HMI solutions for automotive, medical, and industrial automation sectors. The Data Scientist/AI Engineer will be responsible for developing a company-wide AI architecture, moving beyond single tools to create a foundation for intelligent automation, data-driven decisions, and innovative digital products. Day-to-day tasks involve analyzing complex processes, identifying AI potential, and developing scalable, practical machine learning models. Key responsibilities include implementing AI-based applications for process automation, identifying relevant use cases for Data Analytics and LLM technologies, and developing performant software components and scalable microservices. Candidates must possess multi-year experience in full-stack software development, a deep understanding of distributed systems, and proficiency in both German and English to drive this transformative initiative from concept to production.
