Job Summary

This Senior Data Engineer role focuses on building and optimizing the modern data stack for a leading European online specialist in premium luggage and accessories. The successful candidate will primarily work with technologies like Snowflake and dbt, modeling raw data from various sources (Shop, ERP, Marketing) into stable, versioned data models for analytics and ETL/Reverse-ETL. Day-to-day tasks include developing scalable data pipelines using SQL and Python, ensuring high performance and fault tolerance through orchestration, testing, and monitoring of large data volumes. The role requires end-to-end implementation of complex data and system solutions in close cooperation with business departments, defining interfaces, ensuring data lineage, and maintaining documentation. This position offers a clear path toward a Team Lead role, requiring the individual to take on growing responsibility for technical leadership and coaching within the team, operating in a modern, collaborative environment in Potsdam.
