Head of Development, Large Machinery | Elektroingenieur (m/w/d)

Job Summary

This leadership role, based in Dortmund, involves heading the Development department within the Large Machinery Product Center for a leading global manufacturer of beverage and liquid food filling and packaging systems. The Head of Development will be responsible for the planning, successful execution, and controlling of development projects, ensuring they meet quality, timeline, and budget requirements according to the Product Development Process (PEP). A key part of the role includes overseeing the commissioning of new developments (zero series implementation) at customer sites and coordinating product maintenance measures with mechanical and electrical design teams. The ideal candidate must hold a university degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field, possess several years of experience leading development projects, and demonstrate strong leadership skills within a development team. Success requires a creative, communicative, and solution-oriented approach, coupled with good English skills and a willingness to travel internationally.
