Job Summary
The Waterways and Shipping Office Donau MDK is seeking a qualified Engineer for the Specialist Department for Mechanical Engineering South in Nuremberg. This critical, fixed-term role (until at least December 2034, starting March 2026) involves the planning and execution of maintenance and new construction projects for electrotechnical systems and automation technology on federal waterways (Main, Main-Danube Canal, and Danube). Day-to-day responsibilities include developing concepts, drafting tender documents, managing contract awards, and coordinating complex maintenance projects between various internal and external stakeholders, including engineering offices and contractors. The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Automation Technology, or Mechatronics, possesses strong organizational skills, and has professional experience in technical project management and automation. This position offers the chance to actively shape the future of modern waterway infrastructure within a large federal network.
