Job Summary
This role involves specialized administrative processing of foreign trade law cases within the Karlsruhe Main Customs Office, contributing directly to the efficiency of German export processes. Day-to-day responsibilities include reviewing legal requirements and conducting crucial on-site audits at importing and exporting companies to grant and monitor authorizations for simplified customs declarations, particularly concerning the export of goods to non-EU states. The specialist is responsible for ensuring compliance and creating the necessary frameworks for these simplified clearance processes. Key requirements include a relevant university degree (Law, Economics, Business Administration, or Public Management) or a specific civil service qualification (Angestelltenprüfung II), along with strong organizational and analytical skills. Candidates must demonstrate high performance motivation, excellent written and spoken German proficiency, and a readiness to undertake extensive official travel and field work using a service vehicle. Successful completion of the Angestelltenprüfung II (Employee Examination II) OR Successful completion of a Bachelor/Diploma/1st State Examination (University, Technical College) with a focus on Law and/or Economics, including fields such as Legal Studies, Business Law, Economics, Social Economics, Business Administration, Public Management, or equivalent studies.
