Job Summary
This role is a crucial part of the E-Learning Team, operating at the intersection of pedagogy and technology to ensure the smooth operation and support of key learning systems, including BOKUlearn (Moodle), BOKUvote (Particify), and BigBlueButton. Day-to-day responsibilities involve comprehensive system administration, coordinating maintenance and updates, configuring settings, troubleshooting errors, and developing/implementing new functionalities and plugins. The specialist will also provide technical and didactic support via phone, email, and individual coaching. Key requirements include a background in IT, strong knowledge of Linux and server administration, and practical experience with Moodle and MySQL databases. This is an attractive opportunity for an organized, solution-oriented IT professional seeking a part-time (20 hours/week), temporary assignment within a university setting, contributing directly to educational technology infrastructure.
