This role is ideal for an engaged Electronics Technician looking to specialize in high-tech measurement instruments used globally for environmental and oceanographic research. The core responsibilities involve the assembly, commissioning, testing, and servicing of complex electronic probes and underwater systems, focusing on environmental parameters like salinity, temperature, and oxygen levels. Day-to-day tasks include independent planning and execution of new probe builds and repairs, troubleshooting electronic circuits using schematics, and developing/improving test and assembly equipment. Candidates should possess strong knowledge of electronic components, analog/digital circuit technology fundamentals, and excellent soldering skills.
