Job Summary

The Lower Saxony State Office for Geoinformation and Land Surveying (LGLN) is seeking a 3D Geodata Processing Engineer for a permanent position in Hannover. This role is crucial for the Photogrammetry and Digital Elevation Models department, focusing on the quality assurance and production of 3D structural information, Digital Terrain Models (DTM), and Digital Surface Models (DSM) derived from Airborne Laser Scanning (ALS) data. Day-to-day responsibilities include conceptualizing and implementing automated processes, managing data responsibility, and supporting the modernization of the agency's software landscape, including integration with cloud infrastructure. Candidates must possess a Master's degree in Geoinformatics or a related field, coupled with excellent knowledge of ALS, DTM/DSM processing, and proficiency in tools like FME, QGIS, and PostgreSQL/PostGIS.
