Job Summary
This crucial role involves shaping the health and safety culture at the University of Stuttgart, a major research institution, by serving as the central point of contact for occupational safety across the campus, including laboratories and lecture halls. The specialist will advise faculties and central facilities on all matters related to occupational health and safety, contribute to the development of the safety management system, and ensure regulatory compliance. Key daily activities include conducting systematic workplace inspections, performing risk assessments, delivering safety training, and investigating accidents. Candidates must possess a completed engineering degree (such as Mechanical, Electrical, or Process Engineering) or a Master Craftsman qualification, and ideally hold the Occupational Safety Specialist certification (or be prepared to obtain it).
