Job Summary
This leadership role involves the technical and disciplinary management of the Electrical Design and Software Development department within a premium machine tool manufacturer. The Head will coordinate and steer complex development projects in machine and plant engineering, focusing on the electrical planning and implementation using Eplan Electric P8. A critical component of the role is the strategic advancement of the automation architecture, specifically utilizing Siemens control and drive technology (S7, TIA Portal, SINAMICS). Furthermore, the role demands strict adherence to Machine Directive 2006/42/EC and relevant machine safety standards (EN ISO 13849, EN 60204), including conducting risk assessments. The ideal candidate possesses a degree in Electrical or Automation Engineering, extensive professional experience in electrical design or software development within mechanical engineering, and proven leadership capabilities. Experience with Heidenhain controls (TNC7/TNC640) is a plus, and strong organizational skills are essential for managing interfaces between design, mechanics, software, and production.
