Job Summary

This Senior Administrator role, based 100% onsite in Cologne, focuses on the operation and strategic development of extensive platform environments, specifically leveraging VMware technologies for virtualization and microsegmentation. Day-to-day responsibilities include complex problem and fault analysis, resolution within intricate system landscapes, and leading the execution of complex technical projects, including resource and supplier management. The role requires developing strategic concepts for area organization and participating in projects for public clients (federal or state level). Candidates must possess a Master's or equivalent degree, an ITIL Expert certification, and significant professional experience (minimum seven years in IT administration). Expertise in VMware vSphere, OMNISSA Horizon Platform, and VMware Firewall (Microsegmentation) is mandatory. This is a highly structured role requiring strong leadership skills and the ability to present professionally at the management level. Fluency in German and excellent English skills are essential.
