Job Summary

This role involves specialized handling and management of hazardous waste within the special waste division of a leading environmental services provider. The Chemical Specialist will be responsible for the professional acceptance, sorting, and classification of waste materials, including packaging and transferring dangerous goods. Key daily tasks include creating disposal certificates, packing lists, and signing accompanying documents, as well as communicating with authorities and customers. The position requires a background in chemistry (e.g., as a Chemical Laboratory Technician or Chemical-Technical Assistant) and foundational knowledge in organic, inorganic, and physical chemistry. Experience in the disposal industry and a TRGS 520 basic course certification are highly desirable. Required Skills

Education

Completed vocational training as a Chemical Laboratory Technician, Chemical-Technical Assistant, Specialist in Circular and Waste Management, or a comparable qualification.

Experience

  • 2 years of professional experience (desirable)
  • Experience in the disposal industry (advantageous)
  • Completion of the TRGS 520 basic course (desirable)
