Job Summary

This role seeks a dedicated Software Developer to join the IT department of a leading European information service provider specializing in global trade data and content. The primary responsibility involves programming and maintaining various web-service based interfaces that connect the company's specialized information systems to major trade platforms, including SAP and Oracle. Candidates must possess broad knowledge of information technology, strong analytical skills, and the ability to work independently. Essential technical experience includes competent knowledge of SQL databases, XML, XSLT, and HTML, alongside practical experience in object-oriented programming, such as Java or PHP. An excellent command of English is mandatory, while a good command of German is beneficial. This is a full-time, on-site position based in Bochum, Germany.
