Job Summary

This role involves supporting the Cancer Registry of Schleswig-Holstein by managing the flow and quality assurance of medical reports related to tumor diagnoses, therapies, and patient outcomes. The successful candidate will be responsible for monitoring and enforcing reporting compliance among medical practices and clinics, including developing and executing structured reminder and dunning procedures. Key duties also include managing reporting centers, maintaining relevant data, and providing essential telephone support to reporters regarding the cancer registry, documentation, and the online reporting portal. The position requires a background in Medical Information Management or a related field, strong IT skills including database management (ideally SQL/XML), and foundational knowledge of medical terminology and classifications. This is a full-time, two-year fixed-term contract with the goal of long-term collaboration, offering flexible working conditions and public sector benefits.

Required Skills

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Medical Information Management or a comparable qualification (e.g., Medical Informatics, Public Health, or Certified Specialist in Health and Social Services)

Experience

  • Professional experience in a field comparable to Medical Information Management (e.g., Medical Informatics, Public Health, or Health and Social Services Management)
  • Experience in monitoring and promoting reporting behavior in healthcare settings
  • Experience in developing and implementing structured reminder and dunning procedures
