Job Summary
This role is for an agile Software Tester and Test Automation Engineer dedicated to ensuring the quality, stability, functionality, and user-friendliness of central software products within the secure and efficient port and rail logistics sector. The successful candidate will work closely with a testing expert and the development team to conduct manual system tests during monthly release cycles. A key focus is the continuous development and maintenance of automated regression tests using tools like Gherkin, Cucumber, Playwright, and QF-Test. You will be responsible for creating and maintaining structured test documentation, actively participating in agile product teams (including Stand-Up, Refinement, and Retrospective meetings), and contributing to the optimization of testing processes and tools. This position requires solid experience in software quality assurance and strong German language skills (C1 minimum) to collaborate effectively within the team and the broader testing Community of Practice.
Required Skills
Education
Completed university degree, IT apprenticeship, or comparable qualification. ISTQB® Certification, ideally as Test Automation Engineer (advantageous).
Experience
- Several years of practical experience in software quality assurance
- Professional experience in test design, test execution, and utilizing common test frameworks
- Experience in the port or rail logistics sector (desirable)
