Job Summary

This role involves critical metrology work for serial production, focusing on 3D measurement and initial sample inspection of wheelset components. The Metrology Technician will be responsible for evaluating 3D measurements, performing first article inspections (FAIs), and granting initial part approvals for serial manufacturing. Key activities include operating the Zeiss 3D measuring machine and utilizing precision measuring instruments. The ideal candidate possesses a background as a Machining Technician, ideally supplemented by a Technician qualification, and must demonstrate the ability to measure accurately within the micrometer (μm) range. Proficiency with Calypso software, MS Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook), and basic SAP knowledge are essential for success in this full-time, shift-based position in Bochum.
