Job Summary

This leadership role, based in Düren, requires an experienced professional to manage and develop the Automation Department, ensuring structured task organization and team growth. The Head of Automation will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and monitoring all automation projects, maintaining accountability for quality, deadlines, and costs across all project phases. Key responsibilities include developing and maintaining software standards for PLC and robotic systems, collaborating closely with design and project management teams on holistic automation concepts, and supporting commissioning both in-house and at customer sites. The ideal candidate holds a degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, or Automation Technology, possesses multi-year experience in PLC programming for special machine or plant construction, and has knowledge of Siemens TIA-Portal, S7, and robot programming (e.g., ABB, Yaskawa). Strong leadership, decision-making skills, and fluent German (C1) and good English (B2) are essential for success in this demanding technical management position.
