Job Summary

This is a highly impactful role as an Occupational Safety and Health Expert and Inspector (Higher Service) within Germany's statutory accident insurance provider (BGW). The primary mission is to ensure healthy and safe working conditions, particularly in the health and welfare sectors. Day-to-day responsibilities involve advising and supervising businesses on safety regulations, conducting detailed investigations into occupational accidents and diseases, and leading seminars on safe professional life. This position requires a Master's degree or University Diploma in a relevant field (e.g., Engineering, Medicine, Health Sciences) and at least two years of relevant post-graduate professional experience. The role is unique as it includes a structured 2.5-year training program for the Higher Service Inspector position, offering a secure, permanent contract, excellent public sector benefits, and the potential for civil servant status (A 13h/A 14). Candidates must be fluent in German (C2) and possess EU citizenship.

Required Skills

Education

Master's degree or University Diploma in Engineering (e.g., Mechanical, Safety, Electrical), Natural Sciences (e.g., Physics, Applied Pharmacy), Medicine (Human, Dental, Veterinary), Health Sciences, Nursing Sciences, Pedagogy, Psychology, Sociology, Gerontology, or Educational Sciences. Alternatively, comparable studies with a minimum 60% focus on the aforementioned areas, or certified Inspector (Aufsichtsperson) status with a Master's/University Diploma.
