Job Summary

This role is a vital part of a leading regional telecommunications provider, driving high-speed broadband expansion and digitization in Central Germany. The Telecommunications Network Engineer will be responsible for ensuring the secure and reliable operation of Backbone and Access Transport Networks, specifically utilizing MPLS-TP, DWDM, and OTH systems. Day-to-day activities include the swift detection, analysis, and resolution of network infrastructure faults, coordinating internal and external service providers, and managing 2nd and 3rd-level customer support tickets. The position requires practical experience with broadband wide-area network technologies and involves implementing new devices into management systems, performing proactive analyses, and documenting all network activities. Required Skills

Education

Technical apprenticeship (e.g., Master Craftsman, Technician, IT Specialist) or a degree in Computer Science, IT, or Communications Technology.

Experience

  • Practical knowledge in the operation of broadband wide-area network technologies
  • Experience in a Network Operation Center (NOC) or comparable environment (preferred)
