Job Summary
This is an opportunity for a Bachelor's or Master's student to complete their final thesis project in Technical Logistics at a family-owned fashion company near Heidelberg. The core focus of the thesis will be the retrofit of an automated overhead conveyor system, analyzing it against the operational requirements of an automated distribution center. The role requires strong academic performance in relevant fields like Mechatronics, Electrical Engineering, Logistics, or Computer Science, coupled with a fundamental understanding of intralogistic automation. The successful candidate must be able to work independently and cooperatively, and be willing to engage directly with the logistics team to understand operational processes. This position offers scientifically qualified, practice-oriented supervision, flexible working hours (up to 20 hours/week, including mobile work options), and fair compensation, allowing the student to gain valuable, real-world experience over a 5-6 month period.
Required Skills
Education
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechatronics, Electrical Engineering, Logistics, or Computer Science (currently pursuing/completing)
Experience
- Enrollment in a relevant Bachelor's or Master's degree program (e.g., Mechatronics, Electrical Engineering, Logistics, or Computer Science)
- Basic knowledge in intralogistic automation
- Willingness to internalize operational logistics processes through practical assignments and interaction with the logistics team
