Job Summary
This role offers a unique opportunity for a Graduate Engineer to engage in long-term, innovative projects with Siemens Energy, focusing on the critical analysis and development of electrical energy systems. Day-to-day responsibilities involve leading the performance and project management of complex studies related to network planning, grid development, and system simulation. The engineer will be responsible for modeling network components, including power electronics, and integrating devices like renewable generation and storage units into AC networks through concept and feasibility studies. Key requirements include a degree in Electrical Engineering or Power Electronics and deep knowledge of energy system simulation tools (e.g., PSS/E, PowerFactory). Success in this multicultural environment requires strong analytical and strategic thinking, initiative, and the ability to coordinate effectively with diverse technical groups and external partners, while actively contributing to business acquisition efforts.
Required Skills
Education
Successfully completed degree in Electrical Engineering, Energy Technology, Power Electronics, or comparable field.
Experience
- Experience in handling Medium and High Voltage (HVDC) and/or FACTS systems
- Experience working with transformers, grid generators, and converters
- Professional experience in energy system simulation
