Job Summary

This role involves providing essential 2nd Level on-site IT support and service for public administration employees in Lower Saxony. The IT Service Technician will be responsible for the full lifecycle management of workplace systems, including the setup, commissioning, relocation, and decommissioning of hardware. Key daily tasks include troubleshooting individual hardware and software issues, managing mobile devices via Mobile Device Management (MDM), handling warranty claims, and coordinating repairs. The position also requires supporting the TK, LAN, and data center environments (e.g., inventory, documentation, network socket switching, and assisting external service providers). Candidates must possess a completed IT-related vocational training (such as IT Specialist for System Integration) or at least four years of relevant IT professional experience, along with extensive knowledge of current Microsoft Windows operating systems and common application software like Microsoft Office. A strong customer and service orientation, excellent teamwork skills, and the ability to explain technical matters clearly to non-experts are crucial for success in this meaningful role.

Experience

  • Completed vocational training as an IT Specialist for System Integration, IT System Electronics Technician, or other IT-related vocational training
  • Alternatively, at least four years of professional experience in IT
  • Experience in Client Field Service
  • Experience in handling Helpdesk systems and process-oriented workflows (ITIL)
