Job Summary

This permanent role as an Electrical Design Engineer, based in Essen, focuses on the comprehensive planning and creation of electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and cable schedules, primarily utilizing EPLAN Electric P8. You will be responsible for the meticulous dimensioning and selection of electrotechnical components while ensuring strict adherence to relevant safety standards and technical guidelines, such as IEC and DIN VDE. A key component of the role involves close collaboration with project management and technical departments, supporting the commissioning and technical testing of systems and controls, and maintaining detailed technical documentation throughout the project lifecycle. Candidates must possess a degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, or Automation Technology, or hold a Certified State Technician qualification, combined with several years of professional experience in electrical design, ideally within the machinery or automation sectors.
