Job Summary
This role as an Application Support Specialist, based near Düsseldorf, involves providing critical first-level support for modern IT systems utilized by automotive manufacturers, importers, dealers, and workshops across Germany. Day-to-day responsibilities include answering user questions regarding system usage, providing initial troubleshooting for software issues, and analyzing complex problems before escalating them to 2nd-Level Support when necessary. You will also identify and communicate optimization potential to Product Management and assist Quality Management with testing and acceptance of new software releases. The ideal candidate has a background in IT or commercial automotive operations, coupled with strong IT affinity, excellent analytical skills, and a systematic work ethic. This position offers an intensive onboarding phase, flexible working hours, home office options, and the potential for career growth into an Application Consultant role.
Required Skills
Education
Completed apprenticeship as an IT Management Assistant, IT Systems Management Assistant, or comparable qualification.
Experience
- Professional experience in IT or a comparable field
- Experience with support processes and a ticket system (advantageous)
- Professional experience in a commercial automotive dealership or comparable field (for lateral entry)
- Extensive knowledge of IT systems and automotive dealership processes (for lateral entry)
