This Senior Data Analytics Engineer role is pivotal in driving the digital transformation within the Delvag Group, the insurance arm of the Lufthansa Group. The core focus is on designing, developing, and optimizing the analysis layer of the central Data Lakehouse. Key daily activities include modeling data structures to ensure optimal usability for reports and analyses, and actively supporting business departments with data-driven decision-making, often utilizing tools like Tableau or Python. Furthermore, the role involves leading the internal Data Community, sharing expertise, and promoting best practices in data engineering and analytics within the insurance context. Candidates must possess multi-year experience in Data Lakehouse applications, ideally leveraging Microsoft Azure tools (e.g., Databricks, DataHub), coupled with strong programming skills in Python and SQL.
