Job Summary

This role is situated within TARGO Technology GmbH, the IT unit of TARGOBANK, focusing on developing and maintaining innovative applications for the core banking system. The developer will be responsible for analyzing and extending existing software systems within a complex, heterogeneous IT environment based on IBM mainframe architecture (including DB2, IMS, and CICS). Key tasks involve hands-on software development using COBOL, SQL, and JCL for mainframe applications. Candidates must possess a degree in applied computer science or relevant IT specialist training, coupled with professional experience in mainframe environments, database modeling, and performance optimization. The position requires strong analytical and strategic thinking, along with practical experience in IT project management, requirements gathering, and client communication.
