Job Summary

This permanent, part-time (50%) position as a Chemical Laboratory Technician at the highly regarded Technical University of Dresden (TUD) involves critical support for research and teaching in Chemical Process Engineering. The role focuses on the preparation, execution, and evaluation of chemical and physical analyses, including operating and maintaining advanced laboratory equipment such as HPLC, GCMS, and UV-vis spectrophotometers. Day-to-day tasks include meticulous documentation of results, creating laboratory protocols, and managing sample preparation and storage. A key aspect is assisting and instructing students during laboratory practicals, ensuring strict adherence to safety and environmental standards, and supporting general lab organization (e.g., ordering and chemical disposal). Candidates must possess completed vocational training as a Chemical-Technical Assistant or equivalent, proficiency in standard analytical methods (wet chemistry, chromatography), and strong organizational skills.
