Job Summary

This critical role involves operating and managing the high-voltage 380 kV and 110 kV electrical grids from the control room, ensuring secure and reliable energy supply at the heart of the energy transition. The operator is responsible for the operational management of the meshed network, upholding (n-1) security standards, and independently executing remote switching operations. Key daily tasks include creating load and network loss forecasts, performing cyclical network security calculations, and communicating effectively with power plant and neighboring grid operators. Furthermore, the role requires expert fault management during disturbances, including remote switching for error correction and leading network restoration efforts. Candidates must possess a degree in Electrical or Energy Engineering and demonstrate necessary know-how regarding load flows, active, reactive, and apparent power. Prior experience with high-voltage network systems and transmission control systems is essential, along with the flexibility to work in demanding 12-hour shifts. This permanent position seeks stress-resistant, structured, and independent team players with very strong German language skills (C1 minimum).
