Job Summary
This full-time position (35 hours/week) seeks a dedicated Plant Operator to join the Environmental Technology team, focusing specifically on wastewater treatment within a 3-shift operation (Monday to Friday). Key daily tasks involve operating the sophisticated wastewater treatment plants, conducting essential self-monitoring and quality control through chemical analysis using instruments like ICP and photometers, and performing routine maintenance on the operational equipment. The ideal candidate holds a vocational qualification such as a Chemical Technical Assistant (CTA), Chemical Laboratory Technician, or similar background, and ideally possesses prior experience in wastewater or waste management. Success in this role requires proficiency in handling hazardous materials, basic IT skills (MS Office), reliability, and strong teamwork abilities. Required Skills
Education
Completed vocational training as a Chemical Technical Assistant (CTA), Chemical Laboratory Technician, Chemical Worker, Chemical Specialist, Disposal and Sanitation Specialist, or comparable qualification.
Experience
- Experience in the field of "Wastewater/Waste" (e.g., from previous activities in wastewater treatment plants or sewage treatment plants)
- Professional experience working in a 3-shift system
