Job Summary

This role is ideal for an experienced Technician specializing in the international commissioning of highly complex, microprocessor-controlled systems. Day-to-day responsibilities include the independent commissioning, functional testing, and acceptance testing of advanced equipment such as vacuum, crystal growth, metrology, and plasma technologies, both at the Jena site and globally at customer locations. You will be responsible for technical coordination of assembly and testing processes, creating comprehensive test and acceptance documentation based on contractual specifications, and providing technical instruction and training to customer personnel to ensure smooth operations. Key qualifications include a background in electrical engineering, mechatronics, or industrial electrics, deep knowledge of electrical and control technology (PLC, process control systems), and a willingness to travel internationally. Success requires a customer-oriented, structured, and solution-focused approach, coupled with good English language skills.
