Job Summary
The Laboratory Foreman will oversee and manage the daily operations of the laboratory, focusing on quality control of pig iron and residual material analysis, and ensuring compliance with stringent quality and safety standards. Key responsibilities include supervising staff, developing shift schedules, and organizing employee training and instruction on safety procedures. This role requires hands-on involvement, including performing solid and fuel analysis using advanced techniques like X-ray fluorescence spectrometry (XRF), thermogravimetry, and calorimetry, as well as water and solid sample analysis using AAS. Candidates must possess a background as a Chemical Technician (specializing in Metallurgy) or equivalent, coupled with substantial leadership experience and expertise in industrial production monitoring, ideally within an ironworks environment.
