Job Summary

This role is for a skilled Web Developer to join the Federal Office for Family and Civil Society Tasks (BAFzA), a key authority under the Federal Ministry for Education, Family, Senior Citizens, Women and Youth. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and maintaining websites and applications primarily using the TYPO3 Content Management System. Key day-to-day tasks include developing new web applications based on TYPO3 (specifically Extbase and Fluid), maintaining existing digital infrastructure, and serving as the technical contact for developed projects, providing 2nd and 3rd level support. Candidates must possess a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent experience, coupled with strong expertise in TYPO3 installation, configuration, and administration, alongside proficiency in MySQL, PHP, and core web technologies like Ajax, CSS, and JavaScript. This position offers the chance to contribute to socially relevant projects within a modern, family-friendly federal agency.

Required Skills

Education

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Media Technology, or a related field, or a relevant technical vocational qualification in Computer Science with a focus on Web Development

Experience

  • Professional experience providing comparable and equivalent knowledge through multi-year practical experience (if formal education is absent)
  • Professional knowledge in installation, configuration, and administration of multi-layered, object-oriented web applications based on TYPO3
  • Interest in interdisciplinary collaboration
