Job Summary

This role supports the Center for Pandemic Vaccines and Therapeutics (ZEPAI) in ensuring pandemic readiness by managing critical contracts, overseeing infrastructure, and preparing for future health crises. The Scientific Officer will be responsible for managing pandemic preparedness contracts with pharmaceutical manufacturers, conducting audits, and evaluating deviations to ensure compliance. A key focus involves organizing and leading meetings on preparedness topics and developing efficient processes and interfaces for vaccine manufacturing planning during a pandemic. Candidates should hold a scientific university degree in Pharmacy, Natural Sciences, Engineering, or Life Sciences, ideally supplemented by a PhD. Practical experience in the manufacturing, quality control, and quality assurance of biological medicines, particularly vaccines and biotechnology products, is highly valued. The position requires strong analytical, organizational, and negotiation skills, along with the ability to represent ZEPAI in national and European bodies.

Completed scientific university degree in Pharmacy, Natural Sciences, Engineering, or another Life Science; PhD desirable and advantageous.
