Job Summary

This role involves working as a Building Services Engineer specializing in Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning, and Sanitation (HVAC/MEP) or Utilities Engineering within the Düsseldorf regional government (Dezernat 35). The professional will be responsible for the technical review and assessment of construction projects funded by state, federal, and EU grants, covering areas like sports, arts, and economic development. Key daily tasks include conducting technical reviews of funding measures, evaluating technical equipment, checking cost estimates, reviewing procurement processes, and performing on-site inspections. The ideal candidate holds a degree in TGA-HLS or Utilities Engineering and possesses at least two years of relevant professional experience. Strong knowledge of public law regulations, particularly procurement law (Vergaberecht) and HOAI (Fee Structure for Architects and Engineers), is highly desirable, along with excellent written and verbal communication skills in German.
