Job Summary
This leadership role involves overseeing the administrative department for the German Port Museum (under development) and managing central services for the Foundation of Historical Museums Hamburg (SHMH). The successful candidate will be instrumental in steering operational processes, particularly for the active site (Schuppen 50A and the barque PEKING), and managing building and maintenance topics. A core focus is on process optimization, digitalization, and IT, requiring the analysis, adaptation, and optimization of processes across multidisciplinary departments to realize seamless digital workflows. This position demands a strong background in public cultural institution operations, organizational development, and team leadership, coupled with expertise in public procurement and grant law. It offers the opportunity to contribute to one of Europe's largest and most ambitious new museum projects while ensuring efficient, modern administrative and IT management across the foundation.
