Job Summary

This role is for an ambitious Development Engineer specializing in Electronic Control Units (ECUs) and components within the automotive industry, focusing on complex development projects for major OEMs and suppliers. The primary responsibilities involve the development and rigorous testing of communication software, particularly for battery-electric control units. A core part of the job is the design and supervision of continuous test strategies within SiL/HiL environments, ensuring comprehensive verification of software scope and strict adherence to established standards like AUTOMOTIVE SPICE and ISTQB. Candidates are expected to create and implement detailed test cases and plans, requiring strong experience in vehicle networking (CAN FD, Ethernet, FlexRay). Success in this position demands a relevant engineering degree, proficiency in C/C++ and Python, and excellent collaboration skills to coordinate effectively with international development partners.

Required Skills

Education

Completed university degree (B.Sc. or M.Sc.) in Technical Informatics, Communication Technology, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Information Technology, Automotive Engineering, or a comparable technical field.

Experience

  • Significant professional experience in vehicle and ECU networking (FlexRay, Ethernet, CAN FD, LIN)
  • Experience applying technical tools (C/C++, Python, SiL, HiL, CANOE, PREEvision, GITLAB, Jira, Confluence)
