Job Summary

This role involves working as a Biological Laboratory Technician in Quality Control, focusing specifically on Cell and Gene Therapy products within the pharmaceutical industry in Idar-Oberstein. The core responsibilities include the testing and analysis of vaccines and gene therapeutics intended for clinical trials or approved medicinal use. Day-to-day tasks will involve performing analytical methods under GMP regulations, such as Flow Cytometry, ELISA, and PCR. The ideal candidate must hold a relevant technical qualification (BTA, MTA, CTA, PTA, or equivalent scientific Bachelor's degree) and demonstrate a high degree of accuracy, self-reliance, and organizational skill. Furthermore, the role offers the opportunity to contribute initiative and ideas to method establishment, technology transfer from R&D into GMP, and the creation and maintenance of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), making it an engaging opportunity to contribute to personalized medicine and vaccine development.

Education

Completed professional training as a Biological Technical Assistant (BTA), Medical Technical Assistant (MTA), Chemical Technical Assistant (CTA), Pharmaceutical Technical Assistant (PTA), Biological Laboratory Technician, Chemical Laboratory Technician, or equivalent natural science Bachelor's degree

Experience

  • Professional experience in a GMP regulated environment (advantageous)
  • Initial experience in Flow Cytometry (advantageous)
  • Experience working with high accuracy and reliability
