Job Summary

This role, based in Magdeburg, seeks a dedicated Laboratory Technician to perform general laboratory activities, focusing heavily on analytical metal content determination within the metal or recycling analysis sector. Day-to-day tasks involve the mechanical preparation of samples using specialized laboratory equipment, such as jaw crushers, roller mills, sieving machines, and drying/melting furnaces. A core responsibility is conducting sample analyses, including manual sorting, and operating and monitoring measurement instruments, specifically XRF-based devices. The ideal candidate must meticulously document and evaluate analytical data for quality control purposes and contribute to the ongoing development and optimization of laboratory processes and analytical procedures. This position requires a completed professional qualification as a Laboratory Technician or equivalent, coupled with experience in a laboratory environment, and offers an attractive, permanent contract with no weekend work.
