Job Summary

This role is for an experienced Materials Testing Laboratory Technician focused on quality assurance within the demanding automotive sector. The core responsibilities involve the independent execution of complex materials testing according to technical drawings and test plans. Key tasks include performing various hardness tests (e.g., Vickers, Rockwell), conducting detailed metallographic examinations, including microstructure assessment and hardness depth determination, and applying specialized non-destructive testing methods such as spectral analysis, magnetic-inductive crack testing, and dye penetration testing on forged and finished components. The technician is vital in monitoring adherence to stringent Quality Management standards (like ISO 9001 and IATF 16949), ensuring material properties align with specifications throughout the entire manufacturing cycle, and assisting with failure analysis of rejected parts. Ideal candidates possess a background in materials testing or metallurgy, strong EDV skills, and proven experience in test program creation and technical drawing interpretation.
