Job Summary

Join an established, collaborative team in Cologne-Ehrenfeld, focusing on advancing technology within the automotive sector by supporting major OEMs and suppliers. This role centers on the complete lifecycle of electrical systems for special machinery and automation solutions. Key daily tasks include the electrical planning of control cabinets using specialized software such as EPLAN or WSCAD. The technician will also be responsible for the physical construction, wiring, and commissioning of electrical test benches and control cabinets entirely within the company's premises, ensuring no business travel is required. A crucial component of the role involves assembling and integrating Hardware-in-the-Loop (HiL) simulators for critical automotive systems, including battery management, steering, and driver assistance technologies. Candidates must possess a background as a certified Automation Technician, an Electrical Planner, or an Electrician (Industrial Engineering), coupled with professional experience in automation and control cabinet construction. This position offers long-term stability, autonomous tasks, and flexible working hours.
