Job Summary
This role involves providing critical first-level IT support and system administration within the Oelde municipal network, managing approximately 420 IT workstations, mobile devices, and presentation technology across various city locations (schools, fire department, library). The specialist will be the primary contact for users, responsible for analyzing and resolving incoming technical issues, managing service requests (software provisioning, hardware setup, access rights), and documenting all activities in a ticketing system. A strong focus is placed on maintaining the Windows system landscape (AD, servers, clients), ensuring smooth employee onboarding/offboarding, and contributing to digital sovereignty by utilizing self-hosted and Open-Source solutions. The position requires a qualified IT professional with experience in Windows environments and excellent communication skills to conduct workshops and elevate staff digital competency.
Required Skills
Education
Completed vocational training as an IT Specialist for System Integration (Fachinformatiker Systemintegration) or a comparable, recognized qualification
Experience
- Professional experience in IT support, ideally several years
- Experience working with a ticketing system
- Foundational knowledge in Windows operating systems, client hardware, and peripherals
