Job Summary

This permanent, full-time Electrical Design Engineer role in Essen involves detailed planning and creation of electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and cable schedules, primarily utilizing EPLAN Electric P8. The successful candidate will be responsible for dimensioning and selecting electrical components while ensuring strict adherence to relevant safety standards and technical guidelines, such as IEC and DIN VDE. This position requires close collaboration with project management and specialist departments throughout the project lifecycle, including supporting commissioning and technical testing of systems and controls. Candidates must possess a degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, or Automation Technology, or an equivalent qualification as a certified technician, coupled with several years of professional experience in electrical design, ideally within mechanical, plant, or automation engineering. Strong German language skills are required, with English proficiency being beneficial for technical communication.
