This role is for an experienced Data Engineer to join a critical security team, focusing on protecting the email, cloud storage, and identity services of major platforms like GMX, Web.de, and mail.com. The core mission involves tackling around-the-clock attacks by analyzing massive datasets and constructing robust pipelines to prevent account hijackers and ensure digital identity security at a global scale. Day-to-day tasks include developing, testing, deploying, and monitoring scalable filter pipelines and transformation processes that extract metrics from billions of events. The ideal candidate must possess several years of backend software development experience, excellent Python skills, and expertise in managing large datasets and distributed systems, collaborating closely with data scientists to optimize high-performance machine learning models.
