Job Summary

This role involves serving as a Marine Systems Technician specializing in Communication Technology, ensuring the accurate implementation and documentation of complex shipboard systems. Day-to-day tasks include reviewing technical documentation such as drawings, instructions, and interface papers to gain a complete understanding of onboard systems. The technician will use 3D ship models to check components, cable routes, pipes, and lines, preparing for subsequent onboard verifications. A core responsibility is creating system and plant overviews, including operational management plans for ship operating systems, switchgear, communication, and navigation systems. The ideal candidate holds a technical qualification, ideally in Electrical Engineering or IT, possibly with further training as a certified technician. Essential requirements include excellent technical comprehension, experience with large technical systems (preferably marine shipbuilding), strong spatial reasoning, and native-level German proficiency.
