Job Summary

This role involves critical laboratory work focused on advanced battery materials research within the field of renewable energy. The successful candidate will be responsible for the end-to-end process of preparing and characterizing suspensions for battery electrodes, including mixing and rheometry. Key daily tasks include manufacturing electrodes (coating, calendering) and physical characterization using methods like Hg porosimetry. A significant part of the job involves assembling half and full cells, followed by electrochemical characterization (capacity, impedance). You will also contribute to developing and refining measurement methods, performing analyses such as Karl Fischer titration, and meticulously documenting results. This position is ideal for a highly motivated individual with a background as a CTA, Chemical Technician, or Chemist, who possesses strong organizational skills and a desire to improve manufacturing quality and processes in a leading applied research institute.
